Jack Flynn and Mary Qui are on a mission to find out what killed all the people on Paradise Island. Something deadly escaped from a top secret underground lab, and within minutes everyone was dead, and within just a few minutes more all trace of it was gone. Here’s a suspense thriller you won’t be able to put down. It has twists and turns, and unexpected character surprises. It has good character development with both the protagonists and the antagonists. In fact, author Jack Dillon seems to give his villain, Dorian Ryder, just a touch of sympathy. Why? Hmmmm, wonder if we will find out? Loved this one and can’t wait till the next one comes out!

Sometimes it’s hard to distinguish fiction from reality. THE SATAN STRAIN reads scarily like it could be happening today…though I’m sure it would never be allowed to hit the major news outlets. I truly hope that if it ever were the case, real-life versions of Jack Flynn and his team would come to the rescue. In this first ATLAS Thriller, Jack Dillon does a beautiful job bringing the new characters to life and building their relationships (and of course killing a few off!) As you read through the novel it’s almost like watching a movie…including the beautiful locations. The antagonists are also quite intriguing. Even with their reprehensible actions, you can’t help but feel a little bit sorry for them and their situation. For me, it’s a mark of a good writing when you can feel more than animosity towards the villain. I love all the action and tension of a thriller, and The Satan Strain didn’t disappoint. If you like a fast-paced thriller with well-formed characters, I encourage you to download or pick up a copy! Oh, and now on my bucket list…never move to a secluded tropical island! Instead, I think I’ll visit and bring along a copy of the second ATLAS novel and Jack Flynn to keep me entertained.
