Discovery, Col Sec 3 now available.

Hi there,

I said not so long ago that I was waiting to approve the proof copy of the third installment in the Col Sec series, Discovery. I have since completed that chore and the book is now available from both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk as a paperback and in Kindle form too.

Here’s the link to the English site,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Discovery-Col-Sec-Novel-3/dp/1478315318/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1345651577&sr=1-1

Here’s the product description from the same site,

Kurt Stryder, the hero of Ronin was still struggling to make sense of the loss of his love, Zara Hardy and at the end of Omega, not sure which direction his life should go, he takes a cruise on the Colonial Queen but even this leads him into further trouble when a rich passenger persuades the Captain to take a diversion to the Tartaran Battlefield, once the scene of one of the greatest battles between the Colonial Confederation and the Elysium Alliance. A wasteland of derelict, abandoned husks of once great starships, now home to a colony of outcasts, dregs from every society known simply as, The Outlaws. Kurt is thrown into a deadly race to save as many passengers as possible when the Outlaws attack and knowing he won’t save them all he calls for help. The Wildfire Team, a new elite unit set up by Col Sec to handle the worst case scenario is dispatched to help Kurt but when they arrive all is not as it seemed. A secret is discovered on the planet below, one that both the Confederation and Alliance alike had thought buried forever, a secret that could ignite the war between the two super powers once more should it be revealed. Kurt and the Wildfire Team must fight side by side against insurmountable odds to save the life of one of the richest men in the galaxy, Prince Aswan who was responsible for the situation, and Natasha Garvey, his bodyguard from Col Sec Diplomatic Corp, whilst on the sidelines; the two super powers flex their military might in bluff and counter bluff strategies. The discovery of the secret is not the only revelation here, Kurt learns where his path truly lies, whilst Captain Jake Riley, leader of the Wildfire Team learns that some feelings never stay buried for long and General Sinclair finds out that some truths are not what they seem. All this and one final revelation that will shock them all to the core and points to the return of an old enemy lurking in the background waiting to strike once more.

Hope you enjoy it and please feel free to leave any comments and or reviews of any of my work, I look forward to any feedback.

See you soon,

Jan.

Olympic success at last.

Hi there,

these last couple of weeks have been busy for me, I’ve had my daughter’s wedding, the pre-launch of the third installment of the Col Sec series and of course the Olympics.

First off, my daughter’s wedding was an absolute success. The day was fantastic, the weather was good, the ceremony went off without a hitch and everyone got on well right through the entire day. My daughter looked radiant and I can’t remember her ever looking more happy. I’m looking forward to seeing all the photographs from the day, some lovely memories were made that day.

Secondly, the pre-launch of my next book, Discovery, the third installment of the Col Sec series is almost ready for publication. I’m just waiting for the proof copy to arrive from Createspace so that I can approve it then it can go on sale.

Finally,  the best night ever for British athletics, since Team GB hit the track I’ve been glued to the TV and watching our success last night was absolutely fantastic. I’m so proud of all the athletes and not just those who won the medals but everyone who participated. Their efforts made the entire nation proud and they can come away from the games holding their heads high even those who didn’t get a medal. I don’t consider any of them as failures, just been able to compete in the Olympics is an achievement many of us would just dream about and these guys and girls will go on to further success in the near future, this is something we all can be sure of.

Any doubts I may have had about if this games would live up to everyone’s expectations have been shattered since the opening ceremony. It has been a spectacle on a scale never seen before in Britain and it will be a long time before we see the like again.

It’s a great time to be British and I couldn’t be more proud.

See you soon,

Jan.
