Hi there,

I recently added the first two books in the Col Sec series, Ronin and Omega onto the smashwords.com ‘Read an E-book week’ promotion allowing them to be bought or downloaded for free during this week and so far I’ve had almost 200 book either bought or downloaded.

To say that I’m pleased would be an understatement, now I know that 200 to some authors would be chicken feed but to me it’s a start. A start that I intend to continue with the other books in the series, and I hope those of you who bought or downloaded the first two pass on any good reviews to your friends so that they can come back for the others with you.

See you soon,

Jan.

Soon to be released

Hi there,

my problems with createspace over the new artwork for the re-edit of Ronin, the first in the Col Sec series have now been solved and the book will be released shortly. Omega, the second in the Col Sec series has been uploaded to the createspace data base and will be released shortly too.

This morning though I attempted to upload the file for Omega to smashwords.com after formatting it the same as Ronin and after four attempts it still failed. Now I don’t know why Ronin would be accepted and Omega not, and I have put the same question to them over at Smashwords.com I must have done something differently with Omega that I did with Ronin but for the life of me I do not know what. I’ve checked both files and to my knowledge the formatting is the same, the only difference being the content of the story.

I hope to have this problem solved shortly so that Omega can be listed alongside Ronin on Smashwords.com. Until then, I’ll keep trying and keep you informed.

See you soon,

Jan.

OMEGA soon to be released.

Hi there,

I’ve been hard at work trying to get the revised edition of Ronin up and running on Createspace where it was originally published. I uploaded the revised book and the new artwork which I posted on here a while ago and which you can view on the ebook edition on smashwords.com but for some unknown reason the guys at createspace  put the old artwork from edition 1 onto edition 2.

I was a bit upset when my proof copy arrived with the old artwork on the cover so I contacted them about it and was told to send the product ID along with two photo’s of the book so they could investigate, which I promptly did.

Then they told me the Product ID was invalid and to check again and send the ISBN number which I promptly did informing them that the ID number was correct and just to reiterate I gave it to them once more.

I got a reply today saying that they would love to help but they couldn’t give out sensitive data unless I contact them from my account on the website.

Is it just me or does this all sound like a monumental cock up which they will not put right or am I being paranoid?

On another note I’ve uploaded OMEGA which is Col Sec 2 in the series and should be with you in a few weeks if the guys at createspace can get their act sorted.

See you soon
